You can also turn on/off sound effects and set the desired level, and set the background color of the window and the move information areas.
Regarding the four computer game levels you can choose between - the program uses the 'Alpha-Beta Pruning" algorithm to find it's best move. And the highest level means that the program looks five moves ahead and might evaluate up to 10.000.000 situations before deciding what move to make.

Start game
A new game is started by pressing the button, and you can at anytime use the buttons above for saving or loading games. Should you choose to abandon a game - just press the button.

Setup mode
When you want to set up the pieces to evaluate or solve a chess problem, you can use the button to enter setup mode. There you can drag the pieces you want to use into the board. To remove a piece, drag it away from the board either at the top or at the bottom. And to turn the board for playing black or white, click the button. When you are ready to play - press the Setup button again.

Learn mode
If you choose to use the "Learn mode", you can use the buttons and to regret one or several moves. When done, you have to use the button to continue normal play again.

Tip
After you've loaded pieces in Setup mode - for example a chess problem - you can use the button to turn the board and let the program solve the problem. In fact, you can always use this button to let the program find and do your moves.
