Playing the game
In the settings dialog you can choose between playing matches that are decided in
several games, or just play ordinary single games.
A game starts by the program deciding who is to move first. You have the
white dice
and the program uses the black one - highest dice begins. When it's your time to make
a move you click a white dice on the bar. This can be automated by choice in the
Settings dialog. Because you can
regret or
redo your moves by clicking the arrows
above, you also have to click the '
Done' button when you are done.
You can also specify if the program is allowed at any time to suggest a
double.
Here's how points are awarded:
- You get one point for winning a game.
- One extra point is awarded if the opponent still has any marker outside his
home quarter.
- If the loser hasn't managed to move out any marker - one more point.
- If the opponent has any marker left in the winners home quarter - another
point.
- Points awarded are then of course multiplied by the doubling dice.
Notes:
If you don't want the program to show possible
targets for a marker, you can turn
that off in the Settings dialog.
Right-clicking the Exit button will show the background without any disturbing buttons and cards.
Right-clicking the background will restore the window.
In the statistics window you can also right-click the background to see it clean.
