Playing the game
Two decks - 104 cards - are used in this solitaire, and it starts by having 54 of them
delt in ten columns with the last cards face-up. The remaining 50 cards are in the bank
piles at bottom left, on which you click for dealing a new row. The goal is to build complete
suits in the columns ranked from King down to Ace. Completed suits are removed automatically.
Here is how you do it:
- Dealing cards: Clicking on the bank pile will deal a row of cards to the columns.
Any empty columns must first be filled with a single card or a suit of cards.
- Moving cards: You can move single cards or suits of cards between the columns.
The only rule is that the bottom card in the receiving column must be one value higher.
I.e you can put a six - or a suit beginning with six - on a seven. The color or suit of the
card in the receiving column doesn't matter. You can place any card - or suit of cards -
in an empty column.
- Removing cards: You don't have to worry about that, because completed suits of cards
in the columns are automatically removed by the program. If you have managed to build the last suit,
you have won the game.
Hints and tips
The markers above the columns will show if there is a
movable card or suit,
and when you
click on a card, they will show
allowed targets.
All cards on the table can be turned over by right-clicking them - a really useful tool for
the serious cheater! Also the next row of cards to be delt can be turned over by
right-clicking them down in the card bank. All kinds of help can of course be turned off
in the
settings dialog.
Right-clicking the Exit button will show the background without any disturbing buttons and cards.
Right-clicking the background will restore the window.
Clicking the score panel will turn on a small win/lose video in that panel.
Clicking it again will close it.
